The Colors of Central America

by: Adam Bertulli | posted in: Globetrotting
There's an underrated aspect of living in the tropics. There's the beach, the great weather and the laidback lifestyle - we all know about that. There's also beauty found everywhere, and this beautiful backdrop doesn't only drop down from the sky. Those living in Central America take great pleasure in decorating their homes and businesses, and the gorgeous weather means you have every right to be as bold as the sun and dress your house up in bright, loud colors. The residents take full advantage of this, and the results are awesome.

Doors

The door represents many things. They serve as an entryway to the home. A path to a quiet, self-contained world. And a memory eraser so you never know what you immediately forget what you're going to do in that other room. Some people take their doors very seriously. I didn’t really know it was a thing either. Now I want to be one of those people.

Windows

Without windows a house would just be a box, so they're very important. These people have grasped the significance of the window. It's just too bad they can't see how awesome their windows are when they look outside.

Neighborhoods

Like with neighbors trying to one up each other with their Halloween and Christmas decorations in the USA, the neighborhoods of Central America also like to show off their own personal color.

I think we should all get in touch with our local neighborhood associations and make this more of a thing. What do you think?
