This 2-day private Angkor experience allows you to explore the most iconic temples of the ancient Khmer Empire while enjoying the magical sunrise at Angkor Wat and sunset at Pre Rup Temple. After a complimentary pick-up service, we’ll take you to Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, home to some of the country’s most visited natural attractions. Along the way, you’ll experience dramatic rift valleys, powerful waterfalls, bubbling geysers, and colorful volcanic landscapes. Your first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a place of incredible natural, historical, and cultural significance. Here, you can witness the continental plates slowly pulling apart and even stand with one foot in America and the other in Europe, on either side of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Þingvellir is also where Iceland’s first parliament met for nearly a thousand years, as chieftains gathered to make laws, settle disputes, and dispense justice. Next, we’ll visit Geysir, the highlight of the Haukadalur geothermal area. While the original Great Geysir is now mostly dormant, nearby Strokkur erupts every few minutes, sending powerful jets of superheated water high into the air. You’ll smell the sulfur in the air and experience the incredible geothermal energy beneath Iceland’s surface. From Geysir, we’ll make our way to Gullfoss, or the “Golden Falls.” This spectacular two-tiered waterfall is fed by glacial meltwater from Langjökull and plunges approximately 30 meters into a deep canyon. The powerful cascades create plenty of mist and spray, and on sunny days, you may even see brilliant rainbows above the falls. Our final stop of the day is Kerið, a striking volcanic crater known for its vibrant colors. The crater is only a few thousand years old, with its distinctive appearance created by iron deposits in the surrounding rocks. Lush green moss covers the caldera, while a beautiful turquoise lake sits at the bottom, making Kerið one of Iceland’s most memorable natural sights. You’ll then spend the night in Hveragerði, a charming village famous for its geothermal greenhouses and known as the gateway to Iceland’s South Coast. We typically arrive around 4:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the town before a relaxing evening. After a good night’s rest, we’ll set out to explore Iceland’s spectacular South Coast. Prepare for breathtaking waterfalls, glacier-covered mountains, dramatic black sand beaches, and picturesque farmlands. During the summer months, you may even spot adorable puffins in their natural habitat. Keep an eye out for Icelandic horses and the country’s impressive volcanoes and snow-capped mountains along the way. Our first stops are the magnificent Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss drops approximately 60 meters, and when conditions allow, you can even walk behind the waterfall for a truly unique perspective. You’ll also have a chance to admire Eyjafjallajökull, the famous volcano that disrupted air traffic across Europe in 2010. We’ll then continue to Skógafoss, another spectacular 60-meter waterfall. Its name means “Forest Falls,” a reference to the forests that once covered the area before the early Viking settlers cleared them. On sunny days, keep an eye out for beautiful rainbows in the mist. Next, we’ll visit Sólheimajökull, one of Iceland’s most accessible glaciers. Its name translates to “Sun’s Home Glacier,” and you’ll have the opportunity to admire and photograph this incredible frozen landscape. From there, we’ll continue to Dyrhólaey, a dramatic peninsula featuring towering black rock formations and sweeping views of the surrounding black sand beach. During the summer, the area is home to thousands of puffins, making it an excellent place to see these charming seabirds up close. Our final stop is the world-famous Reynisfjara black sand beach. Here, you can experience the power of the Atlantic waves crashing against the striking Reynisdrangar sea stacks and admire the distinctive hexagonal basalt columns along the cliffs. During this tour, you will see all the best that Iceland has to offer! You will visit many of the best-known tourist places in Iceland, but you will also stop at places that are our best-kept secrets, where you can avoid the crowds and discover places in Iceland to call your own. On your first day, you will travel along the South Coast to admire the stunning waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, as well as the secret Gljufrabui. You will also visit Vatnajokull, the largest glacier in Europe, and the unique black beach Reynisfjara near the village of Vík. The second day continues through the East Coast. First on the itinerary is a visit to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. During summer months (May-October) you can take a closer look at floating icebergs during an Amphibious boat tour, while during winter (November-March) you can jump in a superjeep on the journey to discover a natural Blue Ice Cave. The nearby Diamond Beach is a must-see place while visiting this beautiful country – no matter the season, the view over the satin black sand beach decorated by melting ice chunks looks equally stunning. On this day, you will also visit the Vestrahorn Mountain, the Lagarfljot Lake inhabited by the Icelandic version of the Loch Ness monster, and the Studlagil Canyon, just to name a few attractions. Your journey through the coastline takes you along narrow fjords, endless green valleys, and charming fishing villages. On Day 3, you will travel through a totally unique landscape around Lake Mývatn, shaped by extremely high volcanic activity. There you will go for good hikes around geothermal fields with bubbling mud pots, countless craters, hot springs, and even inside the geothermal cave of Grjotagja. During the scenic drive through the northern parts of Iceland, you will also stop to admire three amazing waterfalls: Dettifoss (the most powerful waterfall in Europe), Selfoss, and Godafoss (waterfall of the Gods). The day ends in Akureyri, the capital of Northern Iceland. You will start Day 4 by kicking off from Akureyri, heading north to the village called Dalvik, where you can embark on a boat searching for whales in the beautiful Eyjafjordur. This area is known for its unusually high presence of many representatives of whales, unlike in many other parts of Iceland. In Hvammstangi, there is even more wildlife waiting for you. You will visit the Icelandic Seal Center – an award-winning museum run by a non-profit organization focusing on protecting these cute mammals. In addition to the wildlife watching, you will also be able to admire the picturesque Hvitserkur rock and Kolugjlufur canyon. For the next two days, you will travel through the Western Parts of the island. Here you can discover the many wonders located in the historic area of Borgarfjordur, including Hraunfossar, a world-unique lava waterfalls (view over nearly 900 meters of rivulets streaming from the lava field), Grabrok Volcanic Craters, and Deildartunguhver – a hot spring with the highest flow of hot water in Europe. You will also take an expedition inside Vidgelmir (the biggest known lava cave in Iceland) and end a fun-filled day by relaxing in the Krauma Spa. The next day, you will discover the amazing volcano Snaefellsjokull, and you will also stop in some of the best coastal places that Iceland has to offer. Snaefellsjokull National Park is situated on the Snæfellsness peninsula, where you can find many famous sites, including the magnificent glacier Snaefellsjokull, Djúpalónssandur beach, Lóndrangar (the two massive lava formations), Ytri Tunga, Arnarstapi, Hellnar, Ingjaldshólskirkja Church, and Kirkjufell. On the last day, you will see some real classics. You will drive following the Golden Circle route to admire Gullfoss, the beautiful “Golden waterfall”, the active geothermal area of Geysir, where you can see Strokkur spout up to 25 meters every five to seven minutes, the old Icelandic Parliament area in Thingvellir National Park, and Kerid Volcanic Crater that tops it off before returning to Reykjavík. The maximum number of passengers on this tour is 19, which creates a more personal and enjoyable experience for our guests.
