Welcome to our Northern Gem! We meet in Galway where you gather with your fellow adventurers. You will then begin an adventure that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Without delay, you experience one of Ireland’s natural wonders - Connemara. The contrasting scenery of mountains, lakes and the Atlantic Ocean make Connemara one of the most scenic areas in Ireland. You have two days to explore this area. We then move north along the West coast of Ireland stopping in Sligo before heading for Donegal - home to Ireland’s highest sea cliffs, Slieve League. Donegal is Ireland's hidden gem and personally one of my favorite places. We spend a few days here to explore the region.
From Donegal, you travel into "the Six Counties". This is a historic area with a turbulent past. No need to worry though, there has been peace in Northern Ireland for 18 years. You will visit Derry city and walk the walls before visiting Dunluce Castle and the scenic area of Ballintoy. Ballintoy was used as the location of Lordsport in the Isle of Pyke in the second season of television series, Game of Thrones.
Prepare for fantastic scenery as we hike from Ballintoy to the Giants Causeway. The walk itself is filled with breathtaking scenery which leads to the unique experience of the Giants Causeway. This is a UNESCO world heritage site made of 40,000 basalt columns formed 60 million years ago. View this unique geological phenomenon and learn the local legends. When planning a walking holiday in Ireland you only need to contact Extreme Ireland.
The Giants Causeway is a full coastal adventure and an epic family day out the very northern tip of Ireland, taking in the stunning dark hedges on the way home, with many iconic landmarks for photo opportunities, experience the myths and legends of the causeway glens.

On this tour, you experience all the extreme breadths of Irish history as you sweep down from dramatic sea cliffs to ancient castles. You will weave through Northern Ireland’s rich tapestry of Gaelic history and spectacular scenery.
Places you explore:
Belfast - A city steeped in the history of Ireland, its hopes and dreams and heartaches.
The Titanic Quarter - See the regenerated waterfront where the Titanic was constructed and explore the tragic histories of the people who built it.
Giant's Causeway - Feel the power of Irish giants in the unique and breathtaking coastal formations of the Causeway.
Portrush - Relax in this small and charming coastal resort town.
Derry - Enter the only completely walled city in Britain and Ireland, and discover markets, spires, and museums.
Donegal - Venture into this land of castles, rugged coasts, and thick forest, where Gaelic culture is writ large and proud.
County Mayo - Explore the typical Irish scenery and magnificent wildlife of this land with a tragic past.
Westport - Sweep past Atlantic views and across fabulous verdant earth before you enter this pretty bay front village.
Connemara - Stunning vistas and superb wildlife abound within this famously serene park, from the towering peaks of the Twelve Bens to the panoramic Sky Road.
Galway - Stone clad buildings line the winding lanes and medieval walls of this ancient harbor city, all set to the sounds of traditional music pouring from cozy pubs.
Cross between borders and myths as you weave through the Emerald Isle’s stunning sights. There’s a reason why the Irish are brilliant at conversation. It’s because their country is overflowing with lyrical legends, poetic panoramas, and meandering mountains. It’s an island with almost too much to do, see, and talk about. But on this tour, you get the chance to see all of it.
