The otherworldly landscapes of Iceland offer perhaps the closest thing one can have to an out-of-body travel experience. Equal parts rugged and tranquil, the country’s beauty offers the perfect sanctuary from daily distractions back home. Your soothing journey across the country’s southern coast starts with a hike up Öskjuhlíð Hill overlooking the mosaic-like architecture of Reykjavik. Private transportation offers you the luxury of time to see the iconic sights of the Golden Circle and Thingvellir National Park before heading to the stunning black-sand beaches of Reynisfjara for a unique meditation session. And, of course, a visit to Iceland wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the Blue Lagoon, a naturally-heated hotspot for travellers willing to go halfway around the world just to unwind.

Surrounded by the pristine Langtang Himalayas, lushly decorated rhododendron forests, and scenic lakes, Langtang Valley Yoga Trek is one of the most popular spiritual trekking experiences. Langtang Valley Yoga Trail lies inside Langtang National Park, the country’s first Himalayan national park. The trek runs along the foothills of the Langtang ranges and concludes at the illustrious monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. The 12-day Langtang Valley Yoga Trek begins at Kathmandu followed by a complete Yoga session. Afterward, you’ll drive 6hr northwest to reach Syabrubensi village located in Rasuwa District. The trek commences at Syabrubensi and gradually advances through the Tamang villages en route to Langtang village. Located on the lap of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang village boasts a small settlement of Tamang and Tibetan individuals. The epitome of the trek lies at Kyanjin village, a discreet village lying amidst the mountains. Kyanjin is home to the oldest Buddhist monastery in the region, the Kyanjin Gompa. After exploring Kyanjin Gompa and the old cheese factory, you’ll embark on a short hike to the local peak of Kyanjin Ri (4773m). Afterward, you’ll retrace your path and head back to Syabrubensi via Langtang village. Throughout the trail, you will get to observe the ethnic lifestyle, cuisine, and traditions of the indigenous Tamang tribe. The quaint setting and cool air offer a great environment to indulge in Yoga and spiritual search. The traces of the ancient Bon-Po religion make Langtang a spiritual land filled with mystical energy that you can channel every day with the help of Yoga. Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang Ri (7205m), Tserko Ri (4984m), and Yala Peak (5,500m) are a few of the popular peaks visible along the trail. The best seasons to visit Langtang are spring (March-June) and autumn (September- November).
